Lake Maggiore sits within reach of Milan and the Alps. Use this early guidance to begin planning, then confirm schedules and routes when the venue area is final.

Nearest Airports
Milan Malpensa (MXP) is the closest and highest recommended option. Milan Linate and Milan Bergamo are also options, but are further from Lago Maggiore.

Airport to Stresa
Private transfers, rental cars, and rail connections can easily reach Stresa. From MXP it is around a 45 minutes drive to Stresa, and a 1.5 hour train. There are also buses directly to Stresa for certain hotels.

By train
Rail service connects Milan with towns around Lake Maggiore and to Stresa itself. Alternatively, you can train to Arona, the first town on Maggiore, then taxi to Stresa from there (20 min).

Rental cars
A rental car is a great idea for independent exploring / flexibility, though it is not necessary since all wedding events are within a 5 minute walk / drive from Stresa. Parking in Stresa is also very easy. It's recommended to get an international driver's permit if doing a rental!

Taxis
Taxis and shuttle services are available from MXP and are a slightly more expensive option for reaching Stresa but are very convenient and reasonably priced.

International guests should check passport validity and current entry requirements well before travel. Requirements depend on citizenship and can change.

We'd love for everyone to arrive by Wednesday, June 30, 2027, and depart on or after Saturday, July 3. This guidance is provisional.

Please verify all flight, train, ferry, and transfer schedules directly with operators closer to the wedding, as seasonal timetables can change. Additionally, we recommend coordinating with your hotel accommodation for any shuttles or transportation options they suggest.
